Peeping Tom combine the essential melodic qualities of traditional folk dance music with a modern rhythmic approach to produce their own unique style. With many years' combined dance band experience behind them they pride themselves on being able to produce the right tune for the right dance at the right time. For some years now, the band have performed at many of the country's major folk festivals and ceilidh clubs, working with all of the U.K.'s top callers.
Many of the tunes they play are written by Ben Woodward (melodeon) and Ian Wilson (keyboards) and this book contains 63 of them. Some of the tunes are working their way into sessions and no wonder. These lads can write solid 'traditional' dance music. Most of the tunes have appeared on one or another of the band's recordings.
Foreword by Hugh Rippon, photographs, biographies, classified index, discography and chords; a great book for the musician seeking to play something that's not been overdone before.
